I was at the game last night and I go every year. It's always like that.. You had half the lower bowl literally standing just to watch the warmup. At one point during a TV time out Woll actually looked around and took it in. My favourite was the sarcastic "we want the cup" chants by a few dudes as we were walking out. It was hilarious.

The leafs don’t draw calls because they don’t dive and they don’t embellish. They play a pretty honest game, and I’d say they have a lot more integrity in the league than the players and teams that routinely fake stuff to get a call.
And the leafs have been victims of that so many times, guys throwing their heads back when the stick didn’t even come near their face, sprawling out and pretending to trip over a stick when they actually were nowhere near it etc. Those calls always seem to go against the Leafs.
Craig Berube was about to say it last night at the post game press gathering but he declined and said “I’ll keep that to myself” because if you do criticize the referees or the way calls are going then you get fined $25,000.
The protection of the referees and their absolutely abysmal behaviour and performance by the league is ridiculous.
And of course, Florida still gets away with practical murder and nothing gets called. I thought after they won their second Stanley Cup that would ease off, because Bettman’s goal has been delivered, but the dirtiest team in the NHL still gets away with it and they don’t seem to ever get calls against them.
0:12 honestly I’d be fine with that, but no. League would investigate them if they lost to the two ECHL teams they just played. Edmonton will prolly win. And this sucks for me to admit cuz I hate Edmonton

I love how Steve thinks that game was the hockey gods shining down on the leafs. We all know that was them making sure they get just enough points to give Boston the 6th overall pick.

Why does it seem the Leafs get more vocal support on road than at home? I guess on the road true hockey fans can get in the game and not just the corporate types who are there to be seen but not heard.

There are currently 10 teams below the Leafs in the standings. No way they can tank enough to get in the bottom 5. So the pick is going to Boston and the Leafs should play as hard as they can to torch the Boston pick as much as possible. Am I the only one who sees this?

The NHL and refs have conspired for 60 years against the leafs. Especially since Austin Mathews made his nhl debut.
The penalty discrepancy was even more evident during the playoffs.

The officiating as a whole is abysmal this year. I’m a huge leafs fan, but how unfair was the TB/BOS game the other night? That goal called back on Pastrnak with no whistle and no arm in the air to begin with? Insane.
Need a Bruins-Leafs game soon. Leafs can't buy a call, Bruins can't stay out of the box, wonder which would have to give.

They don’t draw penalties because they aren’t dangerous..other teams never have to worry about the leafs dominating them, so they simply play clean hockey against the leafs to beat their azzes
