I’m glad we didn’t do the 2 for 11. I don’t think panarin is worth 11. I will say the return that got for him and with him getting an extension is nothing. We should go for trocheck as 2C, make it HAPPEN
The fact that Panarin wanted to go to Los Angeles doesn't surprise me. He has been playing in a large market (NYC). When you are used to playing in a large market, many players do not want to play in a smaller market like we are in Raleigh. That's why Mikko Rantanen didn't want to stay with Carolina last season. If we are going to look for players to trade for, then Carolina's front office may want to look at smaller-market teams. Sure, you may be able to coax a player from a large-market team to a smaller-market team every once in a while, but those deals don't happen often.
Panarin would not fit with the canes. They need to be focused on trocheck
