I can't say who would be the best fit with the Canes, but I'm pretty sure the current 2nd line will not help the Canes get to the cup. They need a strong 2C, and Ehlers/newguy/Blake as 2nd line. Stank is not and I doubt ever will be a good NHL center. He should be a 4th line winger.
Oh man. 25 years of hockey in NC and y'all still don't get some things. Panarin had a full no move clause. The Rangers had one choice and once that becomes clear LA has all the leverage. Panarin is also washed, wanted an extension, and to be paid like a #1 guy in his 20's.
