    Ngl with all the really bad hits the panthers have gotten away with this one of the worst hits I’ve seen in a while

    He lunges up and throws his elbow out the only thing that kinda saved McAvoy was he didn’t hit him square in the face if he was able to hit him square in the head that could’ve been a season ending type of hit to the head

    He 100% had the intent to injure McAvoy there i wouldn’t be surprised if McAvoy is dealing with an injury even though he played after this

    If the NHL doesn’t do something someone is going to get a career ending injury or worse

    Or someone’s enforcer is going to absolutely lose it a kill one of the panthers star players all of these outcomes can be avoided if the NHL would just hold them accountable and start giving their players 5-15 game suspensions

    It kills me that I have to feel somewhat bad for the bruins

    So bad. The ref also has a clear view. Should’ve called a 5 minute and reviewed it at the very least. The NHL and the DoPS puts zero effort into protesting its players. The fans don’t want to see this. It’s a really bad look for the league.

    Should be the last game against the Panthers this year. Just hoping for no long term injuries which is wishful thinking against these guys.

    There’s no way someone with common sense can fine the refs or DOPS (😉😉😉😉) for missing this call completely? & then penalizing the Bruins?

    I’m not an expert of any kind but looking at that video, he targeted McAvoy with a headshot in full view of referee #7 there. He launched and led with his elbow.

    That is some crazy BS if that’s how it went down.

    Gonna guess Dept of Panther Safety won’t have a hearing after determining he was penalized on the ice for the hit & sat the rest of the game by the team, so they’ll determine he was punished enough already

    This is nauseating knowing that McAvoy has a broken jaw already. Seems crazy to be playing but that’s no excuse for a targeted shot to the head. Just reinforcing everything we already know about the panthers and how dirty they are. But they will say we’re the dirty ones

    Does not Tampa have a Tom Wilson / dirty enforcer type , 1 or 2 guys, that can get in the lineup to help enforce our defense against them?

    You should see some of them justifying it in their Reddit thread. Panther fans have got to be some of the worst fans in the league. Unreal.

    I hate that this kind of crap is so « normal » and seemingly acceptable from them. I think that the #owners# should be complaining, they hold the money, they outnumber them, and it’s their investments that are getting damaged. They invest millions in guys, only to have them miss games/seasons to blatant bs that aren’t « hockey plays. » It’s not a good look for the league, and can devalue their assets. They need to rise up on behalf of their guys, teams and fans.

    I was so angry/worried/upset when I saw he had to play the rats right before the Olympics. You know damn well we will have another player or 2 (probably Hagel) that will be out of the Olympics because of them and out of spite. Cirelli already had his Olympics dream crushed and I would be more surprised if none join him by the end of tonight.
