It’s been a little concerning seeing him regress from how he was playing early on. Seems like it relates to being dropped down to a lower line and having some constant line changes along with the inconsistency that comes with being a rookie. The concerning part to me is the Preds franchise continues to seem to be unable to make forwards look better over time and develop outside of a couple of exceptions like Forsberg or Evangelista. A lot more Preds prospects in the forward position taking steps back to be later cut than there are forwards developing into long-term producers.

Makes sense to get him some games during the olympic break, maybe build some chemistry with his future teammates.
I like Woods potential, hopefully he has a good summer and comes back improved next year.

Wood reminds me of RyJo. I think wood has a higher ceiling and longevity though. He really needs to work on his skating but his hands are shifty. I still believe he has potential to move back to center if we end up moving McCarron and/or Haula. I wouldn’t mind a future of Martin, Wood, Svechkov as our 1,2, and 3 centers
