@Canadiens de Montréal

À la pause olympique, cinq des dix meilleures équipes de la ligue évoluent dans la division Atlantique.

Mention honorifique à Carolina, qui se sent comme une rivale de division mais ne l’est pas

6th in the league at the 60 games mark. If you told me this at the start of the year I would have laughed in your face

  3. mustardnight

The top 3 are in the same division, then 5 of the next 6 from 4-9.

  4. RoosterXV

I wonder if the top 3 are propped up by playing against Western teams more often

Also not a single pacific team in there either. Yet they get three guaranteed teams and we have to fight to make sure we’re at least WC2

  6. Goji_XX3

Would be little higher if the refs picked the Habs in their parlay once in a while lol

I think being a shark tank division will help us in long run. No easy outs. Iron sharpens iron.

Tu peux avoir la meilleure reconstruction possible, mais si tes rivaux de division sont aussi forts sinon plus que toi pendant ta fenêtre d’opportunité, c’est tough!

    2 Metro, 3 Central, 5 Atlantic ….. R.I.P. Pacific

  10. Beneficial-Cut379

Can we just get rid of the metro and pacific

  11. This is not quite the image at the olympic break, some teams play tonight.

  12. Boston being 9th in the league and wildcard in the east is so fucked

  13. InternationalFig400

That Atlantic Division is a REAL dog fight this year!

  14. Studly_Wonderballs

We knew going into the season the Atlantic was going to be a monster.

Prognosticators predicted Toronto, Florida, Tampa were shoe-ins, but we all knew that Montreal, Buffalo, Detroit, Ottawa all had playoff ambitions. Even Boston hadn’t waved the white flag yet.

The Atlantic is now The Murder Bowl, where visiting teams dreams go to die.

Seriously they own the Avs, 6 loses against the Atlantic.

Atlantic is crazy and the NHL loves it.

Atlantic is the division the stirs the NHLs drink. Met might have the NY area teams, but Atlantic has the biggest Canadian markets, the original 6 teams, and the Florida sunbelt which was pivotal in the souther expansion.

Its basically the media hub and capital for the NHL. I am sure that Buttman is doing flips seeing how competative the Atlantic is this year.

TB is going to take the east I expect them to pass CAR by seasons end. If Colorado wasn’t so good they would win the presidents this year and are probably going to a cup final since Florida isn’t there to stand in their way.

I don’t have 100% faith in both Detroit and Buffalo to not blow it. I think one of them will come unglued down the stretch and probably drop out.

I would much rather see CBJ or WASH take the last WC spot and knock Boston out but we will see my money would still be on 5 teams from the Atlantic taking the playoff spots.

Ideally habs hold onto the 3rd spot or manage to grab 2nd but basically stay out of the WC spots and avoid TB in the first round.

Top 3 in the Central, then Carolina and 5 from the Atlantic. The Pacific is truly a joke this year

  18. I didn’t have the Pens in the Top 10 after 55 games. That doesn’t help us in our quest to land Sid 🙁

  19. Time-Ad-3134

the pacific and metro divisions are beyond ass

  20. Strict_House3347

On average you would expect 2.5 teams per division.

  21. YEGuySmiley

Oilers are in a playoff spot at 18th in percentage. Speaks of how strong the Eastern Conference has been against the West.

  22. Best team in the Pacific is… Vegas in 12th place. Holy moly

  23. DivinePotatoe

It sure is gonna be fun when somehow no team in the Atlantic wins the cup this year.

  24. LordVesperion

If Xhekaj would play more we would be first in the league and we’d be Stanley Cup contender, if I’m to believe all the comments I’ve seen on Facebook about him in the last few days.
