Yea, fair enough. I get the « why now » sentiment, but an upgrade is an upgrade. We gave up practically nothing and got someone who can help us out this year and next. Feels like a move worth doing regardless. Hopefully it works out
I really feel for Glendo though. He absolutely earned that 4C spot coming out of preseason and then fell off a cliff

Pretty much. I have no issue with this trade and think this is a good improvement that is necessary for next year.
One thing I can’t really knock is that Fitz gets great value in trades when averaged over all the ones he has done as our GM.
The timing is odd but circumstances change – maybe Palat didn’t want to move until this season became so atrocious that he agreed to be traded now, thus freeing up the cap space that we didn’t have over the summer to make a move like this then.
Only fear is that Bjugstad also gets worse as he is one year older next year too, but I suppose even then it’d be hard to be worse than Glendening.
