  1. Silovs with some incredible timely saves especially late, Avery Hayes is fast and has an incredible release and showed some serious hockey IQ, Ben Kindels goal looked like a goal of someone who has been in the league for years.. looking as if he is going to pass and rips a no look shot, Cliffy giving a beat down for running Silovs.. a lot of resiliency from this team being down key members to the line up!

  2. What a game! Great to see this team fight for two big points going into the break. I wanna wish Sid good luck in the tournament, I'm a born and raised Yinzer and I'll be rooting for 87 all the way. Hopefully he can add another championship to his resume.

  3. No Penguins hockey for 3 week 😭

Let's go Canada! Even as a US born and raised citizen, I cant bring myself to cheer for Sullivan, the Tkachuk brothers, ir support any of the nonsense thats going on in the USA today politically. For those reasons, plus player preference (minus Marchand), Im joining the Team Canada fan base for the next 3 weeks!

  4. Kindel, hayes, broz, rutger, villie, howe, pickering, hallandar, silovs, bloomquist, murishov, etc. We have the young depth moving forward. I just get nervous the organization wont leave enough room on the roster for them for next season. Lizzotte is signed for 3 yrs. If they bring dewar back thats another spot. Braz, novak, chinakov, should have line up spots as well. Malkin comes back for another season. Things are starting to get very crowded (which is a great thing), but i worry that the win now vs develop for the future tug of war has gotten even tougher for dubas.

  5. Also throwing it out there that before his travel to Buffalo he played in Wilkes-barre the night before and scored a goal.

  6. Where has this kid been? I know it’s just one game and his first, but two goals and a few other great looks. He skated and he hit, and also scored. All three lines generated offense, line one didn’t, but Sid looked better the times he was out there with the kids. If this Hayes wants to show up and play this way, Rakell looks like the odd man out? Rust was great on the PK, #59 is a stud! I know….One game only! Way to go rookies.

  7. I don’t know how much interest you have in drafting but I was wondering what your opinion is on the McKenna situation. Does it negatively affect his draft stock?

  8. Hey DK
I totally agree, Pens are a good team. Just wondering how far they can go with their goaltending. I really like Skinner but I get concerned about which version of him will show up for stretches of time. Silovs has been very good recently for sure. Just hoping we get best version of both at the right time! Thank you, Dave in Harrison City, Pa

  9. Told yinz you were all overreacting the last 2 games bigtime after a 13-2-2 stretch it’s totally understandable to have an off night against the Sens after another 6 game winning streak it’s bound to happen then nothing good ever seems to happen against the islanders in their building but hey we got a point in that game every point matters! People really do underestimate the loser points! And then we bounce back bigtime tonight against a team on an absolute heater!

  10. Hayes looked good!!! Love to see the youth movement. It was probably deflating for Buffalo to be losing after they carried the play in the 1st period. Things aren't perfect but they won. Hopefully Sid finds his game in Italy. Can't keep winning without production from the top line.

  11. I gave them up in 2021 when FSG doubled down on Sully. Didn't catch a game for years.

Came back for the Rebuild the second he was fired. Instead it's been a shockingly joyous experience to see these Legends playing the game the right way once again, after all these years.

  12. How can you send Avery back down with that performance after everyone is healthy? The challenge was the kids need to earn it. Now there seems to be a road block. Tough decisions for management

  13. You gotta love the way dan muse handles the goalie situation. Both are strong starting goalies with playoff success and never go on cold streaks anymore. Dubas needs to keep churning the roster, add more depth. If penguins are going to make a deep playoff, run.

  14. If I told you the top line would produce exactly one even strength goal over the past six (6) games, would you believe me when I also told you their record over that time was 4-1-1?

  15. Thank you DK. A great win before the break ! Avery Hayes amazing goal, Kindel making more goals. Passes were outstanding too. Great show DK. It feels so good !

  16. Dad drove up with me to this game. Buffalo being my second favorite team. We thought there was way too many turnovers. But any bad feelings we had disappeared after seeing those first 2 goals

  17. I was told Mcgroarty is a bad teammate with a me-first attitude and we got fleeced because Brayden yager who is MIA is so much better lmao

  18. After that second Avery Hayes goal I just got the biggest goosebumps. This whole penguin season so far has been the most fun Pittsburgh sports season I've had in forever. I'm so grateful for this team right now.

  19. Can you imagine driving 5 hours to your first NHL game, skipping your usual game-day routine, and then delivering the way Avery did?

I really do believe that he went outside his body at some point. He must have been going through so many different emotions at once that he just shut down mentally and played instinctively.

    Congrats to him.

  20. The tenacity of this team is why they are so fun to watch. I keep coming back to that word because it's so important in hockey and this team has not had it for a while. Relentlessly rolling 4 lines and when they commit that energy to defense too they are very hard to beat. Happy to the Olympics are back but I will miss watching this team!
