    EDIT: Well I guess it wasn't just about the CBA rules… "Mike Sullivan says the scratching of Brennan Othmann tonight was a coaching decision and not because of the CBA rules regarding his eligibility to be assigned back to Hartford during the Olympic break.

    All teams have youngsters in their minor league system That was supposed to be gold and rip apart the NHL and did not pan out

    yeah, right. We have a team full ofthese hidden gems. The only rason they are hidden is cause no one is looking for them – Othmann, Berard, even Perrault with his amazing 8 points

    Greentree does look like a potentially good/great player. I am not worried about him. I'm more worried about how the Rangers have a bad track record of developing young players.

    Ok another hidden gem? Please if all of your gems became diamonds wed be in the playoffs contending with the better teams. This is nonsense, only reason hes a “gem” is they have to spin it because drury got fleeced by panarin, the only place hed go was LA.

    I remember other bigger, heavy shot, below average speed/skating prospects we’ve had. None of them are getting regular playing time, some aren’t even in NA anymore. Glazing Greentree doesn’t make it true that he’s already showing signs of a bust

    Uh yeah, same as great as LaFreniere was, the next sidney crosby! Othmann. A cant miss. Berard and perraukt , ready now. Sykora ? Where is he? All the highly skilled prospects are underskilled and traded away, or wallow in never land hartford. Be honest with every ranger fan, we are dire straits for quite a few years. Drury loves jt miller whonis a bust, and should never have been captain. This team is in turmoil, so drury will trade Trochek, zban if he can, maybe even fox and shesrtkin, because hes an idiot, meaning drury.

    if MAcklin Celebrini was playing for the Rangers he would be getting 9 minutes a night and back and forth to Hartford. NYR is rotten to the core and the retool needs to happen up top and in the organization.

    Please…Fleeced!!…Here is what's alarming with Greentree…A precipitous drop-off in offensive production this season in the same league!!…Not sure how much is attributable to the loss of Protas…Not physical for his size…Below average skater with poor acceleration…That wont cut it at the NHL level…Needed to secure a first-round pick in addition.

    I appreciate your optimism, but the one thing you said about his skating I have read the opposite. His skating is "subpar by NHL standards" … that's how I read it described. And I have heard him compared to Will Cuylle as well… who, let's face it, is best suited for the third line with Noah Laba.

    Rangers fans need to watch this kid play before they agree on the trade. The Rangers right now are not playing to their potential in every aspect of the game and you can see it with too many passes, unable to defend in their own end, blowing PP opportunities to score they show no confidence in their play. The game against Carolina was all Quick and if it were not for his play the Rangers would have been blown out of their arena. I,m glad this garbage is done with about who would be traded and I am sure there is more to come and the sooner this whole situation is resolved the faster this tea can get back to developing it’s lines .

    Drury need to trade Laff, Otthman and Morrow, if this team is trying to build something on them, i can tell you right away that its not going to take far. Laff dont got that dog inside him. Also he cant deal and produce with expectations. Morrow aint an athlete and he cant skate, Othmann just dont got it. It would be better to try to move him to some other team and get some of their prospect and get him a new start. Like Penguins fleeced Columbus by acquiring Chinakov and he is been awesome. But as we have seen Drury has no any eye to scout players like that and thats another reason he needs to get fired. And also whole scouting team with the same door opening.

    I trust to moving frwrd: Laba, Cuylle, Robertson, Spence and lets see if Perreault can take his skating to that level that he can bring that swag to his game what we have seen in WJC and NCAA. He needs to get a power skating- and figure skating coach to summer and work on it. You can actually really improve a lot in one summer if you found a right people to help and really put the work in. Lets hope he does that, cause last two years that skating hasnt improved.

    Rangers should go all in to get Cutter Gauthier by offer sheet. It is pretty much the only way get to back on ur feed. He can play center he played as a center through the juniors and he has already chemistry with Perreault.

    Sully saying we didn't play hard enough is a slap to EVERY Rangers fan.

    THE ONLY thing controllable is effort and Sullivan cant get them to work hard?

    Many team with FAR less talent working their ass off….can u name 3 players on Utah, Seattle, Buffalo or Columbus?

    But they play HARD !
