Man this team is gonna be impossible to watch with trocheck gone
They arent trading Trocheck. They have no Centers in the pipeline, he makes nothing and is the heart of the team. There is no way they trade him, its a retool, not a rebuild.
Drury, the con man, is perpetrating a re-fool(a la Gorton) not a retool because getting prospects & draft choices is a rebuild that is sure to go wrong under Drury.
Trocheck does have a lot of value.Which means Drury will get a 5th round pick for him.
the return for Trochek, Laf and Schneider will be the true measure of whether or not Drury is mustard. We all pretty much know he is not. But if he id going to turn this around this will be the moment for him to do something clever. The real fix needs to happen in player development and Hartford. The number of prospects we have ruined is shockingly bad.
With primary scoring just gone, it would be profoundly stupid to trade away a top face off winner, secondary scoring guy, quality center with a reasonable contract, and a good leader + mentor for incoming young guys…
That said, Dullard & Dreary will probably shop T for another 3d round pick that'll never see an NHL game for the Rangers.

Drury is the worst general manager in New York ranger History and we have had some real bad ones he has destroyed this team and it could take 5 years to get back to the playoffs he has to go now
