It’s like nobody has learned anything from the NBA identity crisis (and MLB to a lesser extent).
The last thing the NHL needs is teams wearing more jerseys that don’t fit their identity and primary/alternate color schemes. Yeah, they’re fun once, maybe twice. But nothing about this looks anything like what you’d expect the Washington Capitals to wear in a game (AI aside).
We need to make it easier for casual fans to tune in and immediately know who’s playing, not the other way around. Home, Away, Alternate, and maybe an extra throwback is more than enough.
