Laine is on the last year of his contract…which means he is a Free Agent if I’m correct If it’s Laine and a 1st or top prospect then Ok I understand But why would Conny trade Kadri knowing he has no way of trading Laine at the end of the season 🤔
You could see that Kadri and Coleman trade happening if you're high on glue. Why the hell would Calgary take on Laine's contract and give up two very good playoff performers for NOTHING. Get real. Start with a 1st for eating Laine's salary, then another 1st and a top prospect for the two Flames players. Calgary is not taking it in the tail pipe to build up Montreal. The province has been doing that since the NEP went into effect, so why would the Flames want to do something similar? Pay up or pound sand. Start with Hage or Reinbacher and you might be onto something.
