There’s no way Svechnikov isn’t on that team
“Fedor Svechkov” has scored 9 points in 49 games this season
Whoever came up with this is a fucking idiot
Someone forgot the “ni” in Svechkov.
who the fuck cares
Eh I don’t buy it. Buchnevich, Namestnikov, Podkolzin, and Svechkov are not making the roster over Svechnikov and it’s patently absurd to think so. Barbeshyov I could see an argument for but I think Svech is a better addition than him.
I don’t find it surprising that Nikishin would make the roster though. He dominated the KHL when he was there and has slid into the NHL fairly well. I think even if Nikishin stayed in the KHL he would get the nod – Russia almost always pulls a few players from the K who didn’t jump over. I think just pulling NHL players is a bit biased.
Seems like a there’s nonzero chance that Svechnikov and Svechkov were mixed up somewhere between the Larionov interview and this graphic being made
To add anyone from the preds is hilarious.
Are any of them centers? That’s the only way I think some of these names end up ahead of Svech is they simply need enough centers to make the roster.
I know the Russian hockey leadership can be quite spiteful and hold a grudge if you leave before they’d like. Svech has been playing in NA since he was 16, so I don’t know how ingratiated he is with Team Russia leadership.
I don’t follow his socials, but does he even go back to Russia in the offseason anymore?
Svechnikov > Svechkov
crazy work
It is a shame they weren’t able to compete in the 4 nations or Olympics.
… Svech is literally listed as an extra at the bottom. Hypothetically, he would still be going, just like Jarvis is there now.
Russia is probably the most stacked team on the goaltender position: Bobrovski, Sorokin, Vasilevski and Shesterkin…
No shot u put Demidov podkolzin svechkov barbashev namestikov in over svechNIkov
