I didn’t interact with that person at all by the way. I just saw this comment under the Lightning’s Instagram post revealing the Black History month jerseys.
Yeah the Facebook comments on the Lightning’s black history month posts are pretty sad, I suppose there will always be people like that in every fan base
TIL.. very cool…
Wait, that jersey sounds awesome.
Literally every time you see any post by any public entity (a school district, a professional team, a college or university, a city or county government) you will see all the racist/chauvinist/trashy people coming out of the woodwork to tell them to stay in their lane blah, blah, blah. It must suck to be such a group of fucking, sensitive little peckerwoods that they can’t even fathom how someone other than their white bread, straight, Christian selves gets the spotlight for one fucking instant at some point during the year.
Another political post. Just stop. People say dumb stuff. Don’t need to bring the negative energy here
Edit:
Well, I mean it is a very political topic. I’m just saying: why bring that energy here? Leave it with the trolls on instagram and everybody get along here and talk about Bolts Hockey here. Chill
wait till this guy realizes the Lightning had the first all black forward line in the NHL
Least racist Instagram user
Social media comments are always a brutal reminder that the world is still filled with horrible racists, sexists, etc. The stuff you see on just about any popular post on Instagram or Facebook is fucking vile.
They prob also think that lacrosse is a white prep upper class sport that wasn’t created by the Native Americans.
Thank you for sharing something positive. Hockey is for everyone!
You’re just giving more attention to a comment nobody cared about from some loser on Instagram. I don’t get it, just keep scrolling. He would probably be stoked to see his comment upset you enough that you went out of your way to post a wall of text about it on reddit. Don’t feed the trolls.
Just looked at some of those comments and they all seem to have photos of themselves shooting animals while spewing antisemitic and other racist nonsense. Figured :p
Why take some random awful comment that’s likely to be a bot or a edgy child and amplify it elsewhere? Nothing even shows that’s on that post, this could be made up rage bait. Better way to treat this nonsense is to let it fade into obscurity where it belongs. Giving it attention is exactly why they would post it
I mean there’s this. [https://www.nhl.com/news/jt-brown-reflection-on-raising-fist-2017-317734028](https://www.nhl.com/news/jt-brown-reflection-on-raising-fist-2017-317734028)
Does this guy sit down during our national anthems? Sonya is awesome.
On a more positive note, I dig the design! Well done! 👍🏽💜🫂
Probably because their primary belief system is already based in the realm of “wrong” so it’s extremely difficult to find tangents with their thinking that are ever right.
Not virtue signaling, just venting. I wish we could all just love eachother and get along, but I guess I’m naive. Love him or hate him Logic has a good line from one of his songs “we all people, all equal.”
I just don’t really think it’s difficult to treat everyone the same, whether it be race, sex, occupation.
A damn shame that people judge and prosecute based on skin color
did you catch any of the US women’s hockey match against Canada today? Laila Edwards had an amazingly gorgeous goal 😍
The comments on that post are a horror show. It makes me sad to witness such ignorance and hatred
