À la manière typique des Silovs, il a décoché deux tirs dans les 15 premières minutes de la 1ère période mais a été plus ou moins solide pour le reste du match. C’est sa première participation au tournoi après avoir été confronté aux États-Unis alors que Lativa perdait quelque chose à hauteur de 1-4. A son honneur, le troisième but n’est intervenu que dans les dernières minutes du match, où les Allemands disposaient d’un joueur supplémentaire pour combler un déficit de deux buts. Les SOG étaient de 29 GER à 22 LAT. Tant mieux pour Arty !

Those dying minutes of the game were crazy, Arty was unreal. Second goal was sort of partly on him though, but other than that – rock solid.
