Tralmaks is not really an issue but if one of the big three goes down then playoffs might not happen.
Yzerman may have been 32 before he won his first Stanley Cup but he was also on some phenomenal teams and the Wings had generational drafting and no salary cap.
Larkin has been on a playoff team once and it looks like we’re 3-5 years away from being contenders.
I don’t think it’s unfair to think that Olympic Gold or Silver will be the highlight of his career
