Isn’t this the epitome of a bitch move in hockey fights? Grabbing jersey and taking down with all of your weight to pull the guy down is a way to get out of the fight.
Crinon started it by punching him in the face with a sucker punch before he even dropped his gloves. Then, when the ref held him back, that is when he started to signal a “let’s go”. Seems pretty weak to me.

I mean Wilson is the only one who wanted the fight. He wanted to get him back for the McKinnon hit, but there’s no fighting in international hockey. So if you drop the gloves, all the NHL rules about fighting are not there anymore, and you better be ready to fight as long as the officials are not physically holding you. So Wilson crying to the officials after, that the French guy pulled him down and that he got hit while lying on the ice is pretty pathetic.

I watched this on Peacock in the US and they almost completely cut this out of the broadcast. Showed the first couple of shoves then went to commercial and I was really confused by the fighting penalties when it came back

Wrestling that prevents officials from breaking it up. Wilson dropped down to make it easy for the refs to break it up, however, his secondary actions may have cause for repercussions. I look forward on if there is a ruling beyond the on-ice officials.

I’ll be the outlier here… Crinon is a bitch for that. Down 10-2 when you don’t fight in the Olympics. Wilson wasn’t trying to throw hands and Crinon throwing head shots while Wilson on the ground?
