Silov's name sure has been called a lot. Both good and bad, I haven't been fully focused when the games are being played. Mainly hoping they all stay healthy. 🐧🏒

I dont agree that Silovs has had better running from December to the break. Skinner had a rough start at the original trade. But has really done well after those first, 5 games? Curious to that. This is without looking at the statistics yet on that.

there is no chance to play good , with latvian rooster like this, very unexpierienced rooster ,a lot of players who play weak leagues.look at latvian nhlers they show litteraly nothing,sitting on bench in nhl doesnt mean you are good, there is just skill gap, that 3 goals in denmark game there is nobody in shilovs crease to fight to bounce pucks. just luck of expierience in team. just this dont gonna work in olympic and world championship this year. it will be 10 place aproximately to latvia in world champs

This has been the Arty story all year. Chances to take the net and doesn't. Looks good at times but other times you see why he has the save % he does. This makes the need for Skinner to elevate even more dire
I think a more interesting example from the listener question is Geno after devastating losses for Russia in 2010 and especially 2014 in Sochi. Not really arguable is that Geno is a very emotional player, sometime to his benefit but at other times to his detriment. Now everything we’ve ever heard about Crosby’s character would suggest he would have gone out of his way to make sure that locker room was not crowing about Canada’s success. Bringing this back to the present, if Dubas has any intention to bring Geno back next year (and he should), just get it done. He’ll play better with that certainty, because emotional.
Can we stop pretending Silovs is going to work out in the 'Burgh? We don't need another Jarry situation where we hold on to a goaltender for longer than we need to because of "potential" that never blossoms.
Is he a good back up? Barely. Should he be starting games mixed with Skinner? No.
