For reference: this is for the game vs the Blackhawks next week.
I am neither from Chicago nor Nashville.

I figured the Preds would be happy with literally any paying customers at this point.

I think they do it for games that tend to draw a ton of away fans, trip to Nashville from Chicago is a popular choice.

I’m so confused. I live in La Vergne. Technically within viewing area. It’s always blacked out. Do I use a double negative or something?

It’s been like this for 15 years.

OP just go buy it on any verified resale site like StubHub or something, this only applies to TM at the Preds request. Ticket holders just can’t transfer their tickets until something like 24-48 hours before the game.
I also sell in the ticket marketplace post pinned on this sub. I have two in 306 I’m going to be selling.

I live outside of Hunstville, Alabama and will get this message. Usually I don’t have any issues buying tickets, so my guess is that it’s basing off my location, but my billing address is within the market.

It’s the dumbest fucking policy. It dosen’t work too. I’ve dealt with this restriction a few times as an out of market fan. Every game that I’ve gone to that has this restriction I still manage to get tickets, as does literally any visiting fan that wants to go too. Seatgeek works every time for me.

I’m for anything that minimizes the number of blackhawks fans. They’re annoying as shit.

Predators really said “You wanna buy this hat? Papers please”

They’ve been doing this. The last time I went to a Preds game I had to have a friend that lives in Nashville buy my tickets for me because I live in Indiana. He couldn’t even transfer the tickets to me, he wound up just letting me log into his TicketMaster account and transfer to my Google wallet. This was a couple of years ago.

This is a shame. We had planned to come from out of area for the three game run but could only get tickets for the 2nd. We are Preds fans. So we Rearranged our entire trip and won’t make it to any home games this year. Had to cancel a week at hotel, air, and multiple other local excursions. There goes our tourist investment. We were told it’s because the other two games attract sell out crowds that support the visitors and make access for locals difficult. Oh well.
