There once was a center named Larkin

    Who caught the goalie parkin’

    In the Olympic spotlight

    He snapped one top right

And left the red light sparkin’

What the heck edvinsson had knee surgery? Just learned from the winged wheel podcast

I’m happy Mo can get some rest but I’m so sad they lost yesterday. 😔 He gave everything he had but they didn’t have quite enough talent and I didn’t care for the coaching strategy.

    General translation:

    >**It’s frustrating, we’re really disappointed. We should have been able to win the game, we could have beaten them. We have to blame ourselves. We weren’t disciplined enough. It’s a really bitter result!**

Dylan Larkin is the fucking man

    Sebastian Cossa stats per month:

    **October:** 3GP, 3-0-0, 1SO, 0.943%, 1.66GAA

    **November:** 6GP, 5-1-0, 1SO, 0.941%, 1.50GAA, AHL Goalie of the Month

    **December:** 8GP, 7-0-1, 2SO, 0.929%, 1.75GAA, AHL Goalie of the Month

    **January:** 7GP, 3-3-1, 0.906%, 2.71GAA

    **February:** 4GP, 4-0-0, 1SO, 0.948%, 1.50GAA, AHL All Star (2nd in a row)

Of 28 starts, Cossa has let in more than 3 goals 3 times ONLY – 2 of which were in January hence the lower numbers that month. Seems quite consistent this year.

One takeaway from this tournament… For a player as productive as he is in the NHL, Jack Hughes is insanely weak. Hasn’t met a puck battle he won’t lose, gets knocked away from the puck so easily, and just all around weak with it. Have not been the opposite of impressed with his play this Olympics. The OT play where Larkin made a big defensive play, Jack got just bullied trying to make a defensive play. Larkin bailed them out with the play afterwards

Watching the first 2 media availability videos has me pumped. Boys are eager to get back to it, Toddfather is locked in as usual and said Simon will « absolutely » be ready to go.

24 games to the finish line with one of the most difficult remaining schedules. Gut check time.

« Don’t trade for me. I’ll willingly come to Detroit after next season » – Quinn Hughes to Steve Yzerman during trade talks.

Hot take – lots of talk about Caufield, Robertson, etc, but USA should’ve taken Patrick Kane as an extra. If they’re willing to play a bunch of guys under 10 minutes, he’d be great as a PP specialist, 6v5 and 3v3 OT specialist, and shootout specialist (if it comes to that). Most importantly, he’s the king of clutch, and USA might need that.

Also, I love watching Quinn Hughes, but it makes my heart hurt that he’s not on our team. (yet?)

Todd had them running some version of the gauntlet drill in practice and from Copp’s reaction it sounded like the team loved it. Hopefully good coaching can have the team raising the intensity to match the competition in the stretch run.

Larkin, Seider and Raymond all OUTSTADING at these Olympics. I would argue Raymond the BEST forward on Sweden. This will help in a playoff push.

Big ass day of hockey yesterday. I didnt check in too much with Mo’s game after I saw it was 4-1 by the time I had my coffee, but Raymond was dealing (a little too well for my comfort) and Larkin with huge tips and floating around 70% faceoff wins with a big OT pokecheck, 🐙🐙.

Crazy thought, we need to get Buch on Raymond’s wing when he comes over. No Wing has the goal scoring touch Buch has shown in the K, and Raymond is a score first pass to the open man with a nasty angle also first superstar. Getting a sniper on the other side of him would open up his game to its complete form.

  13. BellsBeersy

    Folks,

The snip show has gone worldwide

I wouldn’t even be mad if Slovakia beats us. How can you not want to cheer for those guys.
