  1. Hard pass on Faulk. Aging Dman with large contract, plus a 1st round pick? No thanks.

I'd rather the Bs add a goal scoring winger for that price.

  2. No for 2 reason it wouldn’t be to bad if he had 1-2 years left and we were a defensemen away from a championship but we’re not we’re a fridge playoff team that might sneak a series out depending on who we play and 2 the cap hit is to big I rather keep that money and draft capital and find younger options in the defensemen

  3. Faulk is a hard pass for me. I don't know if he would get PP time in Boston, unless you're putting 2 d-men on your second unit. My biggest knock on Faulk is health. He's only played a full season 3 times in his career; and we already have D-men with injury issues in our top 4 (McAvoy and Lindholm). Adding another who isn't durable just isn't worth the investment of assets to bring him here, and isn't worth the cap space for just 1 more season

  4. Please no… go for Whitecloud if you want to fix the “2RD” hole. Whitecloud fills the defensive problems and is way cheaper.

  5. Great analysis Court! Would not make this trade due to his contract, age and what the Bruins would have to give up for a good, but not great player. He is definitely not worth a first and possibly Lohrei and/or Poitras. I know Hronek has a NMC, but I still wonder if Pasta/Zacha could convince him to come to Boston. That would def be a trade worth making. If the Bruins are looking for younger RHD, I would consider making a trade for Schneider or Willmander if they are willing to wait a year or two for results.

  6. Faulk isnt the guy he used to be. If were taking that contract were getting Thomas as well, otherwise this is a non needle moving waste of assets trade.

  7. This guy doesn't scream rebuilding, re-tooling just regurgitation. Getting a Peek to replace a Peek is a waste of money and futures.

  8. If they'd take lysell or georgi, sure why not. But if they want anything more then a second round pick along with it, bye felicia

  9. Absolutely not!!just keep rebuilding and wait for the young studs next year. The Bruins as constructed are not s serious contender for the Cup. Why trade your future, doesn’t make sense.

  10. The team has exceeded my expectations this season. I also like the culture they're building again. However I think they shouldn't trade their assests. I think they should be patient, see how the rest of the season plays out. I like the core they have right now and think if they want to add pieces they should do that from within the organization. Hold their picks and keep building the future. If they can land in decent spots on the draft board, I think they should focus more on defensemen and maybe some wingers this coming draft.

  11. I’m all for staying the course, maybe moving Arvidsson and/ or Middlestadt for picks or prospects if the offer is amazing. Go into next year with some established Bruins and P-B’s and keep moving forward. Oh yeah and if they have a chance to move Peeke and Korpisalo DO IT!!

  12. Absolutely 100% agree. This is where a quote from a very wise man becomes apropos… “Championship teams are built, not patched”. A 30+ year old 2nd pair defenseman is a patch. I would give a 2nd round pick and a B prospect at most. Now, we wouldn’t actually get him for that, since I’m certain at least one or two teams would be willing to drop a 1st at the deadline. Montreal could use a man like Faulk, and I’d imagine they’re willing to move a 1st round pick to make that happen.

  13. Agree with others begging that Bruins not do the Leafs move from last year. Btw, "emotional reaction" sounds exactly like something Neely would force the team to do.

  14. no to Faulk – doesnt fit the timeline and asking price too high…. now Thomas on the other hand…. thats interesting but dont give up Lohrei

  15. St. Louis is following the template established by … the Bruins, twelve months ago, when they traded Carlo. The Blues are essentially asking the same price for Faulk that Sweeney bilked from Toronto in 2025. So, I can’t really blame St. Louis for setting that price for Faulk.

However, given how poorly the Carlo trade has already aged for the Leafs, I would say Sweeney would be foolish to even consider a similar exchange for Faulk.

  16. If the Blues are asking what Calgary got for Anderson, it’s a hard pass. I think if you’re giving Peeke, Lysell, and a 2nd, it’s ok. He essentially becomes a very serviceable 4th D and stabilizes the right side for the B’s.

After all, after Faulk, the RHD market is brutal. I want nothing to do with Connor Murphy.

One thing Sweeney should do, is call Calgary again and ask is Whitecloud is available. Good numbers, you get younger, larger defenseman with a VERY good contract at 2.75 per through 2028.
