This is good for us. Top 3 pick in the draft is looking better and better.
How has scoring changed in that time period? Is the SEL in a high scoring environment at the moment? I personally don’t care who we pick if we get a top 2 pick, both players are going to be really good barring some unseen attitude or injury issues
This lottery is gonna break my heart
Ye, but did he stick up for his mom at a bar?
No toss up for me. Well rounded, hard worker, good head on his shoulders. I want us to start drafting with the playoffs in mind. Mckenna feels like a Matthews/Marner/Nylander mold of player.
Noted generational talent Elias Lindholm is also on that list.
I like this, but not because he is outscoring the Sedins. I feel 1999 is way too long ago and the game/players/strategy has changed so much that it’s not very good comparison.
What I am excited about is seeing Stenberg outproducing Carlsson.
Now that is a more relevant comparison and trajectory.
What he’s doing at the SHL is absolutely incredible. He was also really good at the World Juniors, and he looked like someone who could step into the NHL immediately and not look out of place.
But does he smack the guy who talk shit about his mom ?
It’s a shame he’s a winger tbh
Scored his 10th today as well
Does anyone know his actual size?
HockeyDB has him at 5’8 but HockeyRef has him at 6’0.
I know size doesn’t matter as much in today’s NHL but 5’8 154 pounds is a tiny frame for the NHL… Wonder if he’ll be as successful at that size. Obviously he’ll grow and stuff but if we’re being honest, if you have two identical players but the only difference is height/weight, you’re probably taking the bigger guy
Don’t care. I only care if Stenberg has more Zetterberg/Forsberg in him than Sedins. Tired of these low energy pt producing Swedes who fall short in the playoffs.
Does he have knockout power tho?
Cool. I want McKenna.
Too bad there’s only one of him.
43.7% chance of a top 2 pick 🤞
Comparing apples to oranges.
He’s probably going #1. If the Canucks fall to #3 (which fits their trend) they would have either McKenna or Verhoeff.
Stenberg is surrounded by talent and has no elite traits. Dangerous pick.
