Informations intéressantes sur le Daily Face off Live d’aujourd’hui avec David Pagnotta. Pagnotta mentionne que même s’il y a des rapports selon lesquels nous envisageons d’ajouter à l’avant, le principal objectif de JBB est d’ajouter quelqu’un du côté droit de notre défense. Il poursuit en disant essentiellement qu’il ne s’agit pas de savoir si, mais quand et nous ne recherchons pas des locations mais quelqu’un à terme ou contrôlable.
Ce qui m’a frappé, c’est que Pagnotta confirme qu’il a eu des conversations avec JBB lors des Stadium Series et le cite sur le pod. La discussion se situe autour des 24 min du pod.
Curieux de savoir qui vous aimeriez que nous ajoutions ? Avec le départ d’Andersson, il n’y a plus beaucoup de gars évidents sur le marché.

Our young guys on defense have been great. More offense would be great for maintaining puck possession and shots on net.
JBB looking for his HomeRun shot? Consolidate the depth as we near playoffs? But I kinda like having 9-10 NHL ready Defensemen

The rash of injuries have caused the backlog on D to be a luxury.
If there’s an experienced, low cost D we can add, why not? I would like to see Raddysh extended though…
Secondary scoring is a must in the playoffs. If the top guys get shut down, the scoring will need to come from somewhere.

Hopefully I’m just jumping to premature conclusions, but Raddysh / Cernak / Crozier / Lilleberg is one of the strongest right hand lineups in the NHL (and the left is Moser / McDonagh / Hedman / D’Astou, which is also quite good).
This makes me think that JBB knows Raddysh is gone. Which is really dumb. The Lightning will have $15m of cap space and are at the tail end of their window. They can afford Raddysh, and while it might be an overpay within several years, the Lightning aren’t really in a position where that will matter. Nothing the Lightning can do with $15m of cap space can fill a hole the size that Raddysh fills, in a world where RHDs are so scarce that people pay a big premium for guys like Perbix. Unless the blocker is that Raddysh has a personal reason why he has to leave Tampa regardless of money, I’d say this is a pretty massive failure and one JBB will regret.
Not great news on Raddysh then I’m guessing… Cernak is locked up forever and Crozier is young and under control, albeit injured. Seems like the writing is on the wall there.

Based on what you’re saying Pagnotta is saying, my mind jumps to Whitecloud. Alternatively, it’s a bit more of a stretch for some but Kesselring isn’t having a strong season, could be moved; NJD has so many defenceman, maybe Kovacevic is an odd one out if he’ll waive his NMC; Schneider isn’t the best rn but he’s young and is said to be available.
This is the least realistic but I’d love Hronek too, but it would be so expensive
