During the Leafs Panthers series LeBrun refused to call Bennetts below to the head of Stolarz a dirty play. Now all of a sudden it’s an “unnecessary penalty”. Interesting…

  2. postsgarbage

Meh. Unnecessary penalties in elimination games are very different than penalties in game one of a seven game series.

Lebrun sucks at his job and we’re acting like victims to shitty analysts again, more at 11.

  4. Rengars_Prey

There’s a reason this hack needed ESPN to have a job in hockey

I mean the major difference is Bennett never got a penalty on the 1st play and it wasnt an elimination game. If FLA lost, its no big issue. Gotta win 4. This is a do or die game. There is no best of series.

You been sitting on that tweet for a year?

  7. Vivid_Fun_977

Oh you mean a guy who grew up cheering for Montreal, hated the Leafs but now gets paid to write about Toronto and has to work here mainly shows his bias in his writing? Nooooo …

I don’t like LeBrun very much, but I don’t see what one of these has to do with the other. Bennett didn’t get a penalty for the dirty hit on Stolarz.

  9. Another dummy wearing Florida Panthers glasses.

He’s as much of scumbag as Dreger imo both have their own narrative

  11. GritGrinder

They all hate the leafs more than they like anything else

  12. Smile_Character

Lebrun is a stone cold loser! I can’t believe people listen to and follow him on SM

  13. grfadams2

It’s different when the league/refs are in your pocket

  14. North-Evidence-2352

I didn’t know there were penalties that were actually okay to take

  15. Upbeat_Leader_7185

Lol. Leafs powerplay though. LeBrun was right both times.

TSN and Sportsnet are absolutely not allowed to be biased in any way towards any team unless it’s very specifically a regional broadcast. Since they both operate out of Toronto, they need to go out of their way to either never mention the Leafs, or compliment their opponents, just to try and shake any perception of bias. (It doesn’t work BTW, the next headline of ‘Maple Leafs legend has passed away at the age of whatever’ half the comments will be UUUGGHHHH STOP TALKING ABOUT THE LEAFS)

  17. MaxieMan98

Completely different circumstances. A 7 game series vs a one game elimination

I was never less happy to be proven right man, that muppet singlehandedly almost tanked Canada today.

I agree with him. Playoff hockey and Olympic hockey are two different games. This type of shenanigans is allowed in playoff hockey but not in Olympic hockey.

As if this should surprise anyone anymore. This is literally how they make their living. And it works, because here we are talking about it. I would love if ‘analysts’ had a bit more objectivity and integrity, but this is the nature of the social media era we live in.
