I might be missing something, but couldn’t SSMs just buy and keep these exclusively priced tickets and sell off their regular SSM tickets?

Good to see the Sens try to counteract the phenomenon we see for these games, which is pretty embarrassing to witness.

  3. dpihlain

Unclear whether this will work, but nice to see them try something!

  4. publicworker69

I like that they’re trying to do something. Even if it helps a little, it’s a good thing.

  5. Cheesysticks19

I’m happy that they are making an effort to stop opposing fans from taking over. Hope they keep this up and think of other ways to keep our barn leafs free

We know you used AI to write that, Peter.

  7. A couple good ideas in here, hope it makes a difference

The team can make all the efforts in the world, but the only way this will change is if our fans show some pride, bite the bullet, and show up to these games instead of using them to subsidize their season ticket package. If you’re relying on selling them in order to pay for the rest of the season, downgrade your seats or buy a half-season package.

Yes, theses games are more expensive than others, but lowering the price will just make it easier for opposing fans to get into the building & more profitable for the resellers

IMO, best way to reduce the number of Habs and Leafs fans in our barn is to just embarrass their team whenever they come here. The boys need to wake the fuck up for those games. Don’t just win, but run up the score. Beat them 10 – 0 or something crazy like that. If being an away fan in Ottawa starts to consistently become a means to paying the Sens to beat your team, away fans will be less inclined to do it.

I like that they want more Sens fans in the building, I just don’t know if this method they’ve chosen will be a viable solution.

Also, you only lose « home ice advantage » in these situations in terms of the possible psychological effects. Home team still has last change, which is a tangible mechanical rule of the game.

Season ticket holders are selling tickets??? Here’s our solution! Let’s give them even MORE tickets. Fuck we have some really stupid ideas.

Give these tickets to a discount to Carleton or Ottawa U students instead.

This « solution » isn’t gonna help anything.

  12. hockey_nerd88

Tickets are still expensive. Example section 103 is usually my go to section cause tickets are around $100/seat, for the leafs or Montreal it is $225/seat

  13. canuck_11

I honestly was interested but the tickets were way more than I usually pay. They marked them up, just not as much for the away fans.

  14. netflixnailedit

Omg season ticket holders buy me some tickets please

  15. baseballshortstop

One out of the box idea I had was if you are wearing a sens jersey you get 10% off concessions, street clothes +10% more and if you are wearing a leafs/habs jersey its +25% more. Basically you tax opposing teams fans for being in the building other than just the tickets.

  16. thirty7inarow

I suggested before that season tickets should factor an additional cost in for vouchers to the team store, and be redeemable only on game days against the Leafs and Habs.  If STHs resell those tickets to away fans, they have to eat the cost of the vouchers.

  17. I’m a half season holder. I’m in Mexico for the Habs game. Auto-sold the tickets, paid for 15% of my half season. I hate that I contributed to the problem… But money talks.

  18. SenatorsGuy

Hey guys. I tagged Staios in the HFTV video after our loss to Montreal. I think I am to thank for all this

  19. ehyo613

So they want them to spend more money?

If you really want them to go, give them some freebies and a reason to show up rather than selling and putting that money towards expensive season tix.
