My hockey career ended with an Ankylosing Spondylitis diagnosis at the age of 9…when Jagr was in his 6th NHL season. I turn 40 this year. Good friggin’ lord, Jags.

My favorite memory of him was during a post game brawl (against the Wings I think). Jagr was involved In a bench clearing scuffle, but backed out after his chain and cross (gift from his mom) got ripped off.
He was on his hands and knees on the ice trying to find it. Once his teammates noticed that, they broke off the fight and were also down on their hands and knees helping him find it.
Anyone else remember that? Probably early 2000’s.
The first film of me playing, was of me pretending to be Jagr, with a mini-stick in the driveway of our place in Sarver.
I’ve been « retired » for 5 years and just play shitty lunchtime pickups now.
