Any idea why they did the ceremony today? Usually they do it after the gold medal game

Wonder if they wanted to get the players back to North America ASAP with the season resuming Wednesday

The relatively happy looks on their faces affirms for me that, in a tournament like this, I’d rather win the bronze than the silver. Neither is gold but at least you’re not going out sad.

  3. Remote_Blueberry_605

The game left me with the feeling that this team could compete in the final

  4. What an Olympic journey for Granlund from 2014 to now, two medals, two great tournaments. One of those players that always brings the best version of himself to the national team

Kaapo Kakko is only 24 and has now WJC Gold, IIHF World Champ and olympic bronze. How do we get him to win the Stanley Cup?

  6. Rinne4Vezina

Lankinen’s pads are basically brand new 😂

  7. JudgeSubstantial9562

ngl i thought they were given them post gold medal game but this makes more sense

  8. seclusivebeauty

Did they hand them out and we didn’t get to see it? What the heck. I thought maybe they’d hand them out along with gold and silver like they did for the women’s game.

I’m actually a bit disappointed this wasn’t the final, it would have been nice to take down the US and Canada a notch or two and have THEM battle for bronze.

    and yes, I’m Canadian.

Happy to see the players smiling. This is an accomplishment.

As a swede, I can’t admit i rooted for a finnish bronze medal.

    Secretly I did.

    Congratulations, little brother.

  12. bonyponyride

Mikko threw on a jersey for the medal ceremony and photos.

  13. Aromatic_Razzmatazz

Aho looks like he might burst. This is just such a great shot. And Esa!

  14. radwimps

Congrats to the Finns! Really impressive team.

*The Finns with their stuffed animals*

  16. Kolettos

So as a Finn I can say that in the interview they still seemed quite dissatisfied with the result of yesterday’s game and the details of that game bother them. All of them said that they came for a brighter medal, but bronze still feels pretty nice. Also confirmed information that they were extremely disappointed and even angry with Canada after the game.

Shoutout to CBC for not letting us watch the bronze medal ceremony for whatever reason.

  18. nonblinddaredevil

Okay you’re an Olympic athlete now Turbo, time to start putting up some points.

Wait Teuvo is missing a tooth? Since when?

Edit: wait I watched that game I remember now🤣

  20. EndlessHysteria

Let’s fucking go Joel. Glad he took home a medal.

  21. hennyl0rd

Wait they don’t do the medal ceremony at the end of the gold medal game like the women’s?

  22. MillwrightWF

Finland will be my no #2 always in international play. Man they are dogs out there every time.

  23. WackHeisenBauer

Bronze winners are always so much happier than silver winners.

  24. eChucker889

Dumb question – why did the Swiss women have to wait until after the gold medal game, but men’s bronze got medals immediately after their game?

  25. Decent_Brick1150

My kid is a undersized goalie playing in BC. I always tell him to watch Soros, and dude didn’t disappoint this Olympics.

  26. TischTalk

Hintz, Lindell, Heiskanen, Rantanen — my kings… (we miss you Granlund)

  27. EmbraceThePerd

I’m here for happy Juice 🙌 the guy nearly carried FIN to a gold medal game. Glad he is coming back after the break with some hardware and hopefully some more confidence that he is still a stud.

  28. RippyMcBong

Goddam those Finns can play some fucking hockey. Had me on the edge of my seat all morning yesterday.

  29. syd_cash

My beloved Finns. So happy for them but especially Saros and Aho 🥰

  30. Noisybot

Congrats to Aho Lehky and Kivi, good to see my fav Finns all become Olympic medalists.
