Finally gets one. JOHNNY! JOHNNY! JOHNNY!

  2. USMCArmyRanger

Wish he could have been on the ice with them.

  3. MapleSyrupKintsugi

Only part I can take solace in. ~~It’s his birthday too!~~

    GGS America. Next time.

Edit: I misheard. I guess it’s his son’s birthday. Which is better.

  4. Bitter-Assignment464

Dad shed a tear was a awesome gesture.

  5. Spartanias117

Im out of the loop on this one, can someone fill me in?

  6. thehockeytownguru

I teared up! 🥲 absolute amazing they got to be there! Johnny is smiling down!

  7. TapBusiness7125

That was a thrilling game, felt like Game 7 of Cup Finals on Steve Rogers super serum. 🇺🇸😃

  8. Acceptable_Ball_9721

As a Canadian I hated the outcome of the game, but seeing Gaudreaus dad cry when they carried his son’s jersey around the ice almost had me crying

  9. CantTakeMeSeriously

Super classy. As a Canadian and Calgarian, this softened the disappointment somewhat.

  10. When they showed his dad someone started cutting onions in my house.

  11. alfredo_roberts

Man, Brady Tkachuk holding the jersey and making it a big point to honor it… makes it really hard to dislike him.

  12. Ch33zNugg3ts

Obviously I hate the outcome, but we all expected them to do that. That was my one thing keeping me from forever hating the US team

  13. EatsOverTheSink

I had to turn it off. So damn sad. Glad to see him and his family being honored.

  14. strongthreshold

Fuck they took photos with his kids. Currently crying.

  15. PJbrilliant

This was beautiful. Great game nd see u at the next gold medal game America

  16. Larkin and Werenski going into the stands to get the kids for the photo was a classy and very respectful thing to do. Loved it.

  17. Jibbajaba

I can’t even imagine what their parents went through, losing 2 sons in one incident. And the asshole drunk driver had the audacity to plead “not guilty”.

  18. Limp_Bar6899

Brought a lil tear to my eyes for sure 😢

  19. Sandman634

Great Game. Tough, heartbreaking loss for the Canadians. But when that jersey got brought out, it showed me the true class of hockey players and the sport. Congrats USA.

  20. OptionsNomad

Man, Johnny’s dad looks rougher than ever.

  21. Hogslayer6

First class group of young men wearing those sweaters!!!

  22. the0riginalp0ster

I normally don’t like these types of things….. But man most of these guys grew up playing traveling hockey together…. What a moment

  23. __NOT__MY__ACCOUNT__

I was so sad/angry, and seeing this instantly flipped me into appreciation.

That was quite the gesture. And seeing his family sent me into tears

  24. tis_marie_antoinette

Heartbreaking loss as a Canadian but this was a beautiful tribute. Must’ve been an incredibly bittersweet moment for his family and loved ones.

  25. JimmyShirley25

Yeah OK you know what US hockey team ? Have your day in the sun, it’s fine.

  26. Goldwings13

Such a beautiful moment, watching them hoist his jersey and bring in his kids for the photo. I sobbed, I admit it. They won it for Johnny.

    Fuck drunk drivers, man.

  27. I_eat_butt_er_scotch

The Gaudreau kids being on the ice was quite the nice touch by the US players.

  28. Peppa_the_hog

He wouldn’t of even been selected anyways

  29. rogerhitoto

I wanted Canada to win but this got me. V enjoyable game
