Sore loser, but not unexpected since John Cooper is the biggest sore loser and sets to tone for the team.

  4. No-Doctor-4396

Dude missed a wide open net and then had the biggest defensive blunder to give up a pass to game winning goal.

Not the one with the silver medals.

He’s not wrong though. Canada was arguably the better team. Anyone who thinks differently doesn’t understand how to read English.

Mackinnon’s like Kuch a bit. I don’t expect a pr ready quote from him after a loss like that.

When you also take into account the goalie performances?

Team USA was the better team.

“Better team” doesn’t always win the game.

    That’s why they play.

Plus a goalie can win a series if he’s hot.

I’m always reminded of the 2011 Boston Bruins. The lightning were a better team line by line, but that was the year that Tim Thomas played absolutely out of his mind, if the lightning would’ve pulled that series out, they would’ve coasted to the Stanley Cup.

Here we go with the Sore losers. Come on now. Canada got Goalied. End of story.

Well, thats called « the score » it’s really the most reliable judge we have

  13. MacKinnon and McDavid went -2 is all you need to know why they lost.

  14. Dont-concentrate-556

Canada was the better team. Sometimes the better team doesn’t win in a one game elimination. That’s hockey!

  15. wbd3434

Anyone who watched the tournament agrees that Canada should have won bronze.

  16. Like… how is this ostensibly any different than playoff hockey? The better team doesn’t always win there either. How many times has a hot goaltender stolen series in the playoffs?

    Dumb take.

Canada had more and better chances in the last 30 minutes. Pretty even or slight edge to USA in the first 30 minutes. Overall edge to Canada, for sure. But USA had more and better chances in 2010 when Crosby got the golden goal. It went the other way this time. That’s hockey

I’ve never liked him. He is super talented but he really seems like a jerk. I wonder how many of his teammates don’t like him.

I read an article about him several years ago regarding his nutrition and work out habits and I seem to remember him being a jerk to his teammates and staff if they didn’t go along with it.

Now, just sour apples. Your team lost Mack….accept it graciously and move on.

  19. I don’t know why they didn’t give the gold medal to mackinnon, I mean, he doesn’t have one yet so its almost an obligation

It’s definitely funny how a lot of the gripes about Kucherov apply to MacKinnon. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, they’re both competitors and dogs. But one is passionate and the other is a disgrace to hockey.

“My name is Nathan MacKinnon, and welcome to Jackass.”

*Proceeds to miss wide open net*
