Maybe I’m wrong but the club teams got to have some control over this type of thing and personally can’t see the Leafs letting him leave Florida the night before a game.

You’d think they would either fit in the White house visit before games resume, or postpone the visit until they have another break in the schedule and *not* miss NHL games for this.

It’s probably best case scenario for all involved if the team blocks this. AM probably wants to pal around with Trump, but he’ll get (deserved) hell back in Toronto if he does. And as long as the team blocks it, it’s easier for the fan base to live in denial about AM’s true beliefs.
It really shouldn’t be unclear or uncertain. I get that it’s tradition to visit the whitehouse and be honoured by the president for accomplishments like this, but also…is it an honour to be honoured by a felon and paedophile?
