Ridiculous man. Saros was absolutely a standout and would have been the goalie of the tournament if Hellebuyck didn’t stand on his head in the finals.
It’s not written based on fact, nothing is anymore, it’s all about how they can project enough of a shadow of reality to seem legitimate enough to you, so you’ll then *share it* and complain about how insane it is…. This is why this country is such a shit show right now, ‘news’ companies don’t actually care about accuracy or facts anymore. Rage = Engage
You are a perfectly sane man in an insane world
Seemingly every reporter was confused about Fil starting as the 13F. He has the best xGF% of all the Swedes. Sam Hallam was the biggest disappointment for Sweden.
Furthermore, they were eliminated from the tournament by the eventual winners…
Thought the exact same thing when I saw it. Like how you calling Fil a disappointment if the coach didn’t play him and he still got a goal and an assist in 5 games with incredibly limited TOI? 2 points and a +2 from a guy you say can’t even play on your fourth line? Not Fil’s fault their coach had the strategic capacity of an infant.
Not sure who Fil pissed off, but he’s our best goal scorer and most talented offensive player. If the Swedish national team coach didn’t get the memo that’s on him.
they should’ve played him more still
Arguing with someone else’s subjective opinion (especially their opinion about sports) is about as productive as going outside and yelling at the clouds, but the writer even acknowledged he didn’t get much playing time and that was part of why he was disappointed. You don’t have to agree but it’s really not that serious at the end of the day.
The one game I watched Fil play in, he had multiple opportunities to shoot or drive the net and opted to pass instead, often resulting in a turn over. It happened so frequently, even the announcers called it out several times during the game.
So, yeah, if I was a SWE fan, I’d be disappointed, too. Some players were playing their hearts out and leaving everything on the ice. Fil was definitely not playing up to his potential.
Idk how he can have better stats when he didn’t get playing time. You can’t be impressive when the coach doesn’t put you in.
They had to select someone that the preds sent to the olympics. I was a disappointment that they played him like they did. Instead choosing players that take a lot more penalties.
