As Canucks fans, in a twisted sort of manner, we should be grateful that Hughes and Miller are no longer on the team.
Hughes was a boat anchor. Let’s get a proper captain.
Are you saying messier influenced Henrik?
Hughes was never captain material unfortunately (it’s not like Miller and Petey were too tbf). There’s a reason why he didn’t get the C or A for the US despite being their best player
We need a culture shift here in Van instead of praying a natural born captain comes along and drags us through the mud
Fuck Hughes
Makes me miss Horvat and his video game banning antics
If you guys don’t like Quinn anymore because of that, you never really supported him as a person to begin with. You just supported the person you thought he should be.
Kinda sad to see so many fans jump on the hate train. Ffs he didn’t even do anything bad.
Was Hughes a good player? Yeah, maybe the most skilled Canuck ever. Was he a good captain or even a human being? Probably not.
I get we all have a confirmation bias of sorts, but compared to other Canucks captains, he did no community work and never really seemed keen on embracing this city.
It’s Messier and then Hughes, despite Messier’s influence on players to come
Messier was the worst. I’ll die on that hill.
We let go off the wrong guys. Tyler Toffolii, Bo Horvat, Markstrom, Tanev
Hughes was never cut out to be captain and he never should’ve been offered it. Just because you’re the best player doesn’t mean you have the leadership skills that are required to be a good captain. Also he shouldn’t have even accepted considering he was obviously never passionate about playing or staying in Vancouver in the first place.
quinn lowkey comically evil
Where’s Lu?!
hughes would have been an excellent part of the supporting cast. he’s not a leader (definitely not for vancouver) and it’s a shame he had to go that way. as a captain he was terrible, but i’ll never forget how good of a player he was for us
I’ve been saying for awhile that Quinn Hughes should be high on this list. The team imploded once he became captain
Could you imagine if we found out about this while he played for Vancouver?
