I like Debrusk but I don’t see it as a positive to have both him and Boeser during a rebuild given how similar they are and how we’re severely lacking perimeter players.

Kinda funny the Bruins want him back if the info there is true. Would be interesting if we could get Poitras back as part of the return. Turning a complimentary winger into a possible center, with other futures hopefully, would be a good rebuild move.

Because Garland, Debrusk, Boeser and even Kane are having uncharacteristically bad seasons in terms of point totals, and I believe it’s an issue on the coaching staff rather than 4 wingers magically sucking. Let him rebuild his value under a new coach and sell high on the guys that perform next year

They’ve been « open to calls » on these vets since November, how about you start actively shopping these guys instead of just being open to calls. They should be the ones making the calls on these guys, not the other way around. Yeah some of them have no moves, who’s fault is that? They should be actively shopping all these players other than a few young guys like Buium, Willander, Ohgren and Lekkerimaki. I can’t wait for the TDL to happen just for not a single vet with term to be moved then people are gonna say « wait until the draft, that’s when a move like that will happen! » Yeah then the draft happens, the draft passes and none of those moves are made. What’s the excuse then? « But veteran presence is important to a rebuilding team!! » Yeah, it is and that’s exactly why you can find guys like that in FA and overpay them for a little bit until you’re ready to take the next step as a team to compete at a different level.

I think he’d do very well with Edmonton. He’s got good speed and goes to the net. Good at deflecting and tips. Not good at creating but the Oilers have McDavid and Draisaitl to create, they need another Hyman to go to the hard places and tap it in.
