Happy he won good for him but if he doesn’t play that’s a joke and he should take heat for it.

If you want to look at playoff bubble teams, then M.Tkachuk, [J.Hughes](http://J.Hughes), McDavid, and Doughty, are in the same boat. With some traveling to the West coast too. McDavid is likely to miss the first 2 games I saw.
However, I’m on the stance of they have today to do whatever they want. If I’m the Leafs, I’m expecting Matthews to play on Wednesday. They have more than enough time to celebrate, do their Whitehouse thing, and come back to their cities to play.

Are we all aware that he played in an 8am game two days ago? While living in a time zone for a couple weeks that’s 6 hours ahead of us? Even ignoring the partying he’s probably done, a 7-10pm game would feel something like 3-6 am to him. You can usually shift about an hour a day so maybe more like 12am-3am
