Que pensons-nous d’un échange « inévitable » de Kadri ?

Good. It’s best for both the Flames and Kadri to move on. 36 year old Kadri wasting away on a bottom 5 team is good for nobody.

It needs to be done. It’s good for both of us and for Kadri, and his contract won’t look very good in the future if we keep him

For the record I’m very much pro trade. What ought we be asking in return?

  4. Chemical_Signal2753

It always depends on the return.

No issues, love the player but he’s not the future of the Flames.

Fantastic! I want his lazy ass off of this team as soon as possible.

He’s gone this year. Why? Cause I got his jersey this year. Year I got Bennett jersey, he leaves. Year I got Tkachuks, he leaves. Season after I got lindholm, he leaves, Jagr jersey, he retires immediately after. Won a Zadorov jersey, he leaves that season. I am a curse. Who do you want the flames to trade next, I’ll get his sweater

Nothing matters. Nobody cares. We’re all going to die.

Should have traded him in the summer when his value was it his highest. Ended season with 35 goals while right now he’s on pace for 15 goals. I hope they can get something that helps build towards the future.

Get him to a contender stat!!!! Kadri is amazing when he is engaged, and lackluster when he is not. His facial expressions this year match his offensive numbers. I truly believe he played his ass off last year, expecting to get traded last summer. What we are seeing this year is his pissy attitude because he has checked out. I expect his offensive numbers to spike wherever it is he is sent.

Wishing Kadri all the best on his next team! Love the guy!

  12. As much as I appreciate Kadri, I am happy to unsaddle the team from as many of these long veteran contracts as possible.

We absolutely need this. Need to trade him and need to tank. It’s never been more obvious that you need a #1 star to compete. Look at Celebrini, Schaffer, Bedard etc. They give their franchises a beacon of hope and a sense of direction. A guy like Mckenna is exactly what we need. We will never win with just supporting cast members.

I love Kadri. I will be sad when he leaves but I think he needs to go.

    Phew,

I remember 3 years ago we were worried if we could even unload his contract

As long as we get a good return, there is no sense keeping him.

But I do think most on the sub are dramatically overvaluing him as a 1/2C, I think he will be a 2/3C on a contender and hopefully we don’t have to eat any salary because that’s all our retaining spots for the year and his contract is a little long to pay him to leave.

On one hand I feel players like him and backs are good models of work ethic for younger players over the next couple years. But that contract could hurt if we are able to actually rebuild properly.

Overall, he deserves to play for a contender and its probably best for all involved
