@Canadiens de Montréal

    Slaf has nothing to be ashamed of, he did extremely well. Not his fault Slovakia was lacking talent.

  3. Can’t wait to watch how a pissed off Slaf plays like

    Pissed off Slaf > Second half Slaf.

    I know they won their group, but Slovakia’s coaching style against the US and Finland was really weird and did not make sense against the high skilled teams. Lots of perimeter play with no one going to the net and deferring on odd man rushes to keep possession.

    I think a few of the Euro coaches just did not fully get the skill level separation from what they are used to in upper tear European leagues compared to what are essentially a roster full of NHL All-Stars. Slafkovsky has one of the best shots in the world, but if an NHL goalie can see the puck, he’s going to save it 99/100 times.

    Slaf made us all proud. He was so fun to watch in the Olympics. I was cheering for Slovakia and watched all the games. They were entertaining. He will get a huge Ovation tomorrow when we welcome Him, Suzuki, Kap and Texier back to the building. They all deserve our cheers.
