This team is the broken. Leafs management….nobody believes in you. Scared to make decisions.
In how many games this year have they had 60 minutes of effort? 5? Fewer? Tear it down.

it's really weird listening to these post game interviews. Even Woll was talking about how he thought they played really well in the second and third…..like these guys aren't aware they lost the game. They've been talking about needing to play desperate for about two months now, but the top 6 nearly always turns in a dud performance in that regard, then pretends it was the only time they did that. The bottom 6 works hard. Generally Lorentz and Laughton were solid on the PK and even got chances the last few games. Robertson plays with energy. I don't mind them. But Matthews hasn't shown top speed skating for a year now. Nylander is a TO machine and good lord he will never back check. McMann, Domi and Macceilli were invlisble the last two games and honestly McMann is almost always invisible, then makes a nice play once every 5 games and we all have hope, but then disappears and doesn't show he has other aspects of his game that merits being a top line guy. Knies is super inconsistent and Tavares isn't winning the battles he normally does. Rielly is the worst defenceman on the team on most nights and he can't suit up for another game. Their leadership and top players are the reason they've had such a bad losing season and none of them are holding themselves accountable for the dozens of poor starts they've had this year. Just deers in headlights. They need to lead. Matthews needs to lead. They just really, really don't appear to want to all season long. So now they'll lose a pile, then maybe make one little push before being eliminated and will say they worked so hard and just lost out, when in realty they gave up a long time ago. Tough losses. Get them some therapists for sure. This team is falling off the mental ledge into a deep abyss and none of them have the slightest idea how to correct it.

Many US teams would love to have Matthews now and they will give up a lot of picks and talent. Maybe even a bidding war. Austin would waive his no trade. Start the rebuild now or go with the status quo and a 0 Cup future.
Same tired lines every interview. Same lack of discipline and effort every time. You guys think you can pull the goalie, play 5 minutes of hockey and win.
Please Leafs, trade Matthews and bring in some new talent. His “leadership” isn’t there for Toronto and Leafs could get a lot for him.
