I don’t really care if these are « PR » answers, these are the correct things to say for them. A double down or dismissal of the issue would’ve annoyed me a lot more.
Of course he doesn’t. He believes boys will be boys is an acceptable excuse. He went on Fox News. He has never had to work for anything or challenge any of his views. Proving all the memes of him being dumb are correct.

As a hockey writer and hockey fan (including the women’s game) I was pretty upset with the way the men reacted. But reading this I have a little respect for Sanderson, who showed some form of growth with his response. Don’t exactly know how to feel about the « blown out of proportion part » but I like that Sanderson actually admitted it was a mistake and showed respect for the women’s team.
Brady – this isn’t how you lead.
Has anyone actually said « I’m sorry ». Like I’ve heard people walking it back. I’ve heard people saying « it was a mistake » or justifying it per the above « I was swept up in emotion ».
But did anyone say « No guys, we were really wrong to do that. There’s no excuse and I’m sorry. I got swept up, but that was wrong and I fully apologize for what I did »? No qualifications. no « this is blown out of proportion ». Just a forthright ownership of the screw up?
