And this 18 year-old, amazing hockey player didn’t get a sniff from Hokey Canada. Nor did Bedard get an invite he leads the Hawks again in scoring and he’s made Bertuzzi a 25g scorer. Scheiffele and Connor in Winnipeg are 9th and 13th in scoring and they were ignored. Morrissey sold popcorn in the stands but the old and very slow Doughty didn’t miss a shift. 3 forward had only 2pts and 5 others had only 1pt. Who selected this Team…I will ALWAYS favour Speed & Skill. Speed doesn’t go in a slump and skilled players can play any way…particularly in an Olympic Tournament. . .

Oh my god! Matthew Shafer almost born in 2008 but he's almost 19. Stop! Like, you're 18, you should go back to junior.
I never saw Bobby Orr. Two weeks ago, I saw Schafer and Sidney Crosby on the same ice. Imagine seeing Orr and, say, Jean Beliveau in the same game. "These are the days of miracle and wonder."
He should be in the conversation now for the Norris and Hart Trophies. This is what an MVP looks like. Single handely has turned the Isles into a possible playoff team. And defensively he has exceeded expectations. He might not have the Maker, McDavid or Kucherov offensive numbers but his impact has been tremendous and he deserves to be in the conversation for these awards. The Calder is his already
