The worst part is that Michkov had to *earn* OT time by scoring an OT goal, but he was only even out there because he happened to be coming out of the box. So if he weren’t coming out of the box, he never even would have had the chance to score and earn more OT time. We’d just continue to have Konecny and Tippett out there.
I honestly think Tocchet was probably pissed Michkov scored that goal. It’s ridiculous that Michkov has to earn OT time, meanwhile the current lineup of OT players never *lost* their chance to play in OT despite being absolutely brutal all season.
