Ive been anti dregs since the 2013 lockout when he was clearly being an ownership mouthpiece with every bit of info and analysis he let slip on TV and social media.
The marner really stuff just confirmed it for me.
The shocking thing is we entertain him and let TSN keep him because people hate/rage engage him.
That’s the biggest reason why he’s still around at his capacity, we engage him for his terrible takes.

The thing that’s always amused me about Dregs is how he manages to talk at length without saying anything. When Bob McKenzie used to be on the radio, if he was asked a question that he didn’t have an answer to, he’d just simply say that he didn’t know. When Dreger is asked a question he obviously doesn’t have an answer to, he drones on and on trying to give an answer while it being obvious that he doesn’t have a single clue.

Wow the list is long. Stopped listening to the period break stuff on Sportsnet/CBC years ago. When Don Cherry became irrelevant along with Ron « I want to be a poet: Mclean. Then replaced with Eliotte « you can’t confirm this rumor is false until I confirm it’s true » Friedman, and then Craig « Aren’t I insufferable » Button, and the Tough guy but wearing diapers Hayes (forget his first name). And now we have to add Dreger to the list. I would love to jump on but don’t listen to too much of the analysts anymore mostly because of the above but I will take your word on Dreger since the others listed above certainly set a low bar. Personally I am too old to put up with most of the analysts for most major sports in N.A. Basketball with all the faux anger, and NFL with the faux Bro crap all laughing at non existant jokes. But I’m not jaded in any way so don’t take it the wrong way……
