    I think if McMann and Domi are on your top line you have serious problems. Upgrades are needed.
    I’m not sure how much you’re gonna get for Laughton. He only has 12 points this season!

    Hemingway, in the Sun also Rises; "How did you go bancrupt? Two ways, Gradually then suddenly". The same can be said of the Leafs demise. The signs have been there for 18 months and everyone ignored them.

    A full rebuild is required, I don’t care if it takes 5 years, at least I’ll be able to get excited on day a year on draft day if leafs are picking top 5. Trade Matthews, Nylander and Knies for draft picks.

    Prob going to lose Matthews for nothing unforunately in 2 years he has another NMC. As someone who lives in Calgary, good luck I never liked Brad Treliving.

    Why is anybody surprised? It was clear before the seaon even started that subtracting Team Canada caliber Marner and his hundred points coudn't possibly make the team better, and that none of the off-season moves made had the least prospect of changing that reality. The Leafs have two forwards every other team in the league would want; the rest are rank-and-file–competent enough NHLers but nothing outstanding. Other teams have players that are younger, already better, and have a much higher ceiling. So where was the reason for optimism that we were heading up, not down?

    Auston matthews calls the effort embarrassing? he's the captain and one of the biggest culprits. leaf fans fooled again into thinking that things might improve. poorly run org. lack of talent, and guess what? they mortgaged the farm as the expression goes and it caught up in part because they lost the best playmaker this team had since Doug Gilmour.

    It’s terrifying that the front office either thinks Tre didnt set the team up with the right players and therefore Berube is not subject to blame but will allow the same GM to work the deadline or that they think this could just be a one off due to injuries.. Rogers is well on their way to being a bottom 5 run organization
