One of the best things about this whole swing has been bringing WGR back into regular rotation.
Not a fan of the rotten football team from Orchard Park, so tuning in got depressing. The only thing worse than no hockey talk was the apathetic hockey talk. Feels like some friends moved back to town after being a ways away for a while

  2. Bulldog I cannot thank you (and the other guys of WGR) enough for NOT behaving like Steve Dangle. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I disagree with your takes, but you’ve never delivered utterly unhinged contrived “rants” with your teams struggles as your bread and butter.

  3. I wasn’t thinking about first place at all until Saturday. Now I’m wondering why not, which is complete madness but they’ve earned it. They haven’t had back to back regulation losses since before the 10 game win streak, so until they do, I’m going to be optimistic for a change.

  4. THEY ARE PLAYING GOOD & WINNING.I THINK THEY JUST MIGHT FINALLY GET INTO THE POSTSEASON. HOWEVER , IF , OR WHEN THEY GET THERE , WE'LL SEE IF THE MCKINLEY CURSE ONCE AGAIN REARS IT'S UGLY HEAD. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM FINALLY WIN THE CUP BUT THAT MAY BE ASKING TOO MUCH FROM THE EVIL GLOBALISTS WHO HAVE RIGGED PRO SPORTS AGAINST BUFFALO FOR THE PAST 6 DECADES.

  5. What’s different for me is I come into every game with nerves, games mean more and sometimes my nerves get shot cause I love them and want them to win, they just gotta keep going

  6. Im a 56 year old, Bismarck N.D. life long fan of the Sabres since I started playing hockey as a kid, and a life long Bills fan also, I think it all started with O.J. That being said, I went to my first Sabres game ever this year at the , I call it new stadium, because I wish I could have went to the Aud. soooo bad. the atmosphere definately didn't look like the old Aud, but it was the weekend of the Bills beating the Bucs, which I was at and then was able to see the Sabres spank down the Edmonton Oilers was just Awesome!!!! I think that was the beginning of the run to greatness. Love the show, and so glad I found it. Go Sabres!!!!!

  7. I’m a relatively new Buffalo resident/Sabres fan, just a couple of years, and seeing everyone come out of depression mode has been exciting. This isn’t even the first time recently I’ve heard about the ‘parties in the plaza’ and how excited people are for that. I can chat with random people about the game or hear random cheers from across the bar when we score. People online aren’t having meltdowns every time we lose because we know we can win again.

I hope everyone who was screaming “sell the team” regrets that now; there’s still a hockey town here, begging to be relevant again.
