What a wild ride the last two years have been.

Loui Erikkson step aside, we have a new worst contract in franchise history

This is a pretty cool shot. That photo was taken just before Allvin realized he made a mistake.

    Fun Fact:

In January of 2024, Petey scored 21 points in 13 games: 1.61 PPG Average.

In February, he scored 11 points in 14 games: 0.79 PPG Average.

When asked what changed? He said he had « played with a knee injury since January »

[« It’s been a nagging injury. The longer it went, the more pain I felt, »](https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/canucks-pettersson-played-with-knee-injury-since-january/)

Tocchet later confirmed [that it was Knee Tendinitis.](https://www.reddit.com/r/canucks/comments/1cz2m1g/batchelor_rick_tocchet_says_elias_pettersson_had/)

And here we are today, still wondering what went wrong.

To me, it’s always been about the skating, it’s always been about the speed.

He just doesn’t look the same.

With any luck they’ll both be gone this time next year.

Look close you can see it in peteys eyes… « con complete ».

  10. ShindoHaut

Realistically he was playing lousy well before this signing. Petey barely cracked a smile while signing this. It’s like he just signed for a car loan.

Sucky baby give him a pacifier! How can he go 3 game with no shots?

    Get rid of the baby.

Generational bag-getter. Up there with Kirk Cousins

  15. capt-sailorjerry

He may have a shit attitude but this organization has made it easy to be that way.

I guarantee there were more (better) offers then than Carolina but they chose that one specifically because they knew he didn’t wanna go there.

Praised JT after trading him and shit on Pete even though JT had an extremely lazy 22-21, 22-23, 24-25 seasons filled with on and off ice drama.

Everyone has phoned it in this season, the vibes are horrible.

Now slowly drain the life from our franchise plzzz!”

Deserving to be paid for past success and past suffering leaves little care for future performance. Once guts got paid on our team they check out.

  20. EverySecondCountss

Why is Petey taking all the heat for this, when it was the man on the left that pressured him into this contract when they already knew for two months that he had tendinitis?

Maybe if we waited until the summer like he wanted to, he would have signed for less after slowing down in production for the rest of the year with the injury.

Maybe we would have traded him, gotten a great return, and not be stuck in this mess that Petey clearly has no passion to be in?

Fuck Aquilini group. It’s their fault they keep these incompetent general managers around.
