I honestly feel terrible for McDavid, the guy wants to win and has been SO CLOSE three times to career defining success. Seeing him (and the other producers on the team) have to deal with such poor goaltending and defensive liabilities is brutal. I get it, feeling bad for millionaires feels weird, but you can see this guy and Drai are basically dead on the inside.
Connor hates interviews, but he needs to just suck it up and stop being so annoyed by questions. Dude you are our captain and it is your job to talk to media about the team and answer why the team isn't playing at their potential.
This team is in a Coma…. recovery from 2 years of heartbreak….. 97 will be moving on IMO…. there is a malaise about this staff that you can see and hear…. it's asleep.

Connor Murphy is the missing piece. First, the Oilers trade for Jarry, an obvious cure for the goaltending woes. Now they acquire Murphy, a slow third-line D-man, to sure up the back end. Talk about addressing issues and ramping things up.
