PTSD from that stupid commercial they air every game

Would be crazy to dip in. But larger concern for the foreseeable future is – are they just going to maintain the status quo? No clear vision – hold onto veterans, not addressing the 1C/1D conundrum. AKA: No man’s land.

Fine – at this point, you have an open mind to sell, but if the offers aren’t there you just eat it and see what this team is down the stretch. Get into the off season and figure out the 1C/1D situation. I think Sanheim took a step this year though and 1C is a bigger issue. Of course, how you solve that I have no idea. But hopefully the right wing logjam can be a trade on a team that needs to blow it up or make a move?

No reason to unless you find something that makes sense. I’d love to see Briere find a way to leverage Tippett and Risto into a younger D and a center but I’m sure it’s easier said than done.

The way I interpret this is Brière would be willing to make another Erik Johnson type trade. A 4th for a guy they extend a year afterwards. Technically not a rental.
PhilsFanDrew
Nor should they. Rentals are for contenders.

A lot of people don’t want Wright but beggers can’t be choosers. We need to take big swings on young guys like this who fit our needs. He has/had 1c potential, we need to get him and bring that out of him if it’s there. We need to at least try because we have no one else in the pipeline even close to his potential at C

Yeah, and I won’t dip into the Main Line housing market.

Why would they? That’s are a bad team and have been my whole life
Steppyjim
I thought that was a foregone conclusion at this point. Especially with the Tippett and Risto talk.
We may not be fireselling but we’re absolutely selling some pieces and are in no position to buy any kind of win now guy. I think k the big difference is they’re likely targeting prospects over picks, which is why you’re hearing a lot of mocks including guys like Hagens, Wright, etc

I also am not available to a rental players, since we are talking about obvious conclusions
