How do we know that Garland stepped up for Pettersson?

    > Remember, when Management/Coaches sent Miller after Petey to « toughen him up », Garland was the one who stepped up for Petey.

Source? Or we making stuff up

That play they made the open the season last year was awesome. Petey crosses the line, slows up, saucer pass to space and garland with speed grabs the puck and one quick move and in the net.

AKA it’s nice to have an NHL calibre centre to play with, even if it is Petey

Garland has been such a fun player to watch. I hope he ends up somewhere where he can finally experience sustained success. Dude would be a killer on the 3rd line of a great team.

Garland is real fascist, does that count?

take him with you. Put him in your suitcase

Maybe he can look at making shots on goal.

« it’s nice to have a guy, you know, in the middle »

lol, so he likes having a center…..

quote seems like a whole lotta nothing, like when someone is asked to say something nice about someone and they just come up with something on the spot because they actually don’t have anything really good to say

    Never looking to shoot pucks

Difference between looking to and actually making plays 😭

How can an organization that did so much to work under Gillis to pursue the best possible environment for players to thrive (and who had a policy for management and coaches never to publicly trash players) who then became the leading sports club in North America on advancing the discourse around mental health issues fall to become an organization populated by management that would authorize a player to “toughen up” (aka create a hostile work environment) a fellow player.

Rutherford and Foote still think it’s 1996 not 2026

It’s time for a whole new culture running the team.

i will miss this duo 🙁 i was watching some highlights from games back in october/november and noticed that petey & garland always get really excited to celebrate each other’s goals. i think he’s a big petey supporter
