I should’ve known Hynes would be involved. Get fucked, Minny

  2. Soto4Life

I would have been happy with a 4th so this is absolutely unreal lmao

  3. With this kind of return makes me really question what guys like bunting or haula could get. Assuming MN is an elite team for years to come that’s more like a early 3rd rounder in terms of value which is still way more than I think any of us expected

  4. Infraction_

Prehaps the best part of Tortz’s legacy as GM of the Nashville Predators will be getting Minnesota to overpay for rentals. A 2nd round pick for McCarron is insane.

  5. walkingwake_

Fuck yeah. Gonna miss Big Sexy though

  6. Smeagol224

So how many ex Preds play in Minnesota now?

  7. JWright68

I’ll take a 2nd for McCarron all day long.

  8. LifeEngineer3770

I wonder if this sets unrealistic expectations for the rest of the possible tradeables. If McCarron is worth a second is Marchassault worth a first and prospects then???

  9. swizzlestix101

Heck of a return, gonna miss the aggression though

  10. EmbraceThePerd

I’m not going to miss all those stupid ass penalties or his overrated fighting abilities. I think he has been decent with FO this year though. Good for him joining a scary MIN team.

  11. I was just told by talking heads it was a buyer’s market and barry trotz just got a 2nd rounder for 10% WAR 4th liner Michael Mccarron.

Thank you Barry. Please dont stop here

  13. sickofwords

The 2nd rounder is in 2028 but I will still take it, Great trade by Barry here.

  14. TheDeusecond

Great move from Trotz, I imagine Smith is next

  15. gunner921

I don’t know if I like this move. On one hand that’s an insane value for him. Way. More than I expected. On the other, we got less big and sexy.

  16. TheKid_BigE

Damn, but if one of our guys had to go, big sexy was expendable, I just hate having to trade within the division

  17. bomberfan2

Holy shit what a return. Highway robbery right here. Opens a roster spot for one of the young guys too.

  18. Futbol_Kid2112

A 2nd two years away. Trotz was apparently really serious about setting the new GM up for the future.

  19. hard-workingamerican

OReilly to Colorado.? He says he doesn’t want to go.

  20. Appropriate-Joke-806

This is pretty much the team throwing the towel in on the season and being sellers. You bulk up for the playoffs and getting rid of bulk doesn’t bode well for a team’s confidence they’ll make it.

  21. thedeadlyrhythm42

He definitely figured out and solidified his role over the last couple seasons and I bet they saw that his trade stock will never get higher in the future than it is right now.

I don’t know the specific needs of the wild roster but it seems like maybe this could be nearing the end of his nhl career but we’ll see

Hope he does well for them!

  22. CatfishInMyShorts

Let’s go Barry? Fuck yeah, let’s go Barry!!
