Sometimes, tough decisions have to be made and I trust Zito to make the right one.

It wouldn’t shock me if Bob goes to a contender as a rental and then comes back in the summer

  3. MS6_Boost

Should take a look at this Spencer Knight kid in Chicago

Trade Bob for picks, and then trade for Brady in summer. Let Zito cook

  5. JSquidy

I think its the wrong move to trade him, but we thought trading Huberdeau was bananas too

Bob does not deserve this. It’s just wrong. He has the capacity to be great when the team is playing great. I’ll personally die in a hole if Bob gets traded.

I’m sure they are listening. No ones going to offer what he’s worth to us, *unless he told them he’s retiring.*

I’m going to throw up. I understand the logic but doesn’t mean I have to like it.

I think the move here is to re-sign. $3-4 million a year. I wish we still had Stolarz on the roster we would be in a good spot even if the team moved off Bob

Bob for Knight and a 1st, who says no?

Im not sure Bob gets moved unless he wants to get moved. Theyre probably going to be loyal to the guy who took them to 3 straight cups and won 2. Besides, there were murmurs of a 2 year extension just the other day.

I can’t fathom the Front Office hasn’t had the conversation with him at this point in the season. If they’re actually listening to offers, I’d imagine they have a pretty good idea on what his plans for the summer are. Either he wants more than they’re willing to pay, or he’s planning on retiring. If that’s the case, get what you can get and give him the chance for three in a row before he goes out.

Of course you trade him. This team needs to acquire all assets they can for future runs. Take advantage of missing the playoffs. Every UFA needs to go. Greer, Nosek, Petry, Bob. Whatever you can get, get it because there’s a very high chance they’re all walking for nothing in free agency.

The picks and prospects can be used for the next two to three years.

Bob is the second worst goalie this year. You do not extend him unless he wants a short deal with minimal money.

Jarry for Bob 1:1 Panthers retain 50%

Stating to wonder what a realistic return is even going to look like for a 37 year old on a big career downswing

  17. The-Hostess

I think the move is trading Bob however we can and then trading for Saros in the summer. No goalie wants to be on a tanking team (see Gibson in Anaheim for all of those years) so I don’t think the NMC is an issue and I think Mackie is a great piece for us to offload and Nashville to acquire

  18. Wassy4444

Doubt anything comes from this if it’s even true at all. Bob’s contract expires after this season, no team will offer anything good if they can just pick him up in free agency

  19. Justice502

Damn I bought a Bob jersey over the summer, let him retire with us 😔

  20. Round_Remote_9749

Bobs will always be a legend in Florida. Two Stanley’s and loads of magnificent memories..

  21. Round_Remote_9749

Sucks he’s having a subpar season, but rarely do the greats go out on top of their game..
