Capitaine, Oh mon Capitaine ❤️

I’ll be honest, I think we’ve been better without him this year. But he means a lot to the org and I don’t see us scratching him. Coop needs to deploy him better though. He should be playing sheltered, 3rd pairing minutes with some PP2 time mixed in. He played the second most minutes among dmen tonight, ahead of Moser, McDonagh and Cernak. There’s no world where that should be happening

Yeah I was shocked to see him score his 1st goal of the season against buffalo the other night. I know he was hurt for a while, but jeez.

People toss Stamkos out like trash, but don’t apply the same assessment standards on Hedman? Hedman is unplayable.

He’s done! Buy him out and let him come home.

Simply needs less ice time at this point. He is clearly not 100% but can still be effective with 3rd pairing minutes.

I think he is far from being 100%. I don’t think he’s healed. If isn’t healed yet he’s not going to be come playoff’s. Put him on LTIR for the year and let him heal. Use the cap now. See by next year what is to be done

Guys coop and Heddy and team medical will all figure it out. If he’s injured he’ll see docs and get LTIR.

If he’s not Coop is going to start sheltering him. Obviously right now things look rough, but it’s the ebbs and flows of a season. It’ll take time for things to stabilize but they will, one way or another.

Hedman is not waiving his no movement. If we want salary room it’s from Bjorkstrand, not much but at least it’d be something.

I do think our needs are more complicated than Coleman. We need someone who can create. We’re too reliant on kucherov right now. We need to find a way to get the 2nd line going.

We need to trade one of Carlile or Lilleberg before the deadline so we can roll 6 d and heddy needs to be on the bottom pair and play bottom pair minutes.

Not only has his offense fallen off a cliff. His decision making with and without the puck has been extremely questionable. Showing major positioning and lack of defensive awareness issues.

  9. Hedman is a turnover machine. His size and reach get him out of it a lot of the time after he gives the puck away, but he’s terrible. I almost posted about this very subject when he came back and decided not to. That was 3 straight losses ago. Big problem.

He’s either still injured or cooked.

there was an article written by a person (I know how that sounds), someone who knew stuff – might have been Joe Smith who’s in MN now…

anyway, story was the Heddy had a hip issue **(hip impingement that’s been treated with NSAIDs and other pain management) that was eventually going to need surgery)**; and if that is true (I think it is and was), we’re seeing that now

Heddy has played some really longgggg minutes…

    I mean… you’re not wrong.

I assume it’s injuries, age, and being in and out of the line. The organization likely believes he will bounce back given time.

  13. I know he’s been hurt and I’m hoping that’s the reason, but it’s evident that we have played much better hockey without him this year.
